O Canada

Canada was awesome.  Granted we were there for less than 24 hours, but in that short time, our neighbor to the North really captured our fancy...starting with the hostel!  Haha.  I know that seems random, but we were all pleasantly surprised and delighted by our stay for the night.  The kids were super excited about the two sets of bunk beds in each room, and even though the rooms were on the small side, everything was so neat and tidy and minimalist that it totally worked.

After a restful night's sleep, we enjoyed a complimentary breakfast the next morning and set out to explore the Canadian side of the Falls.  We spent a few minutes walking up and down admiring the view, but it didn't take long before the kids were sidetracked by the tourist trap of Clifton Hill.  It may have been a little over the top with all the sights and attractions, but it was a lot of fun.  And as an added bonus, Ethan, Grace, and Jane took a ride on a ferris wheel with Scott while I took Sophie, Alex, and Isaac to browse for Canadian souvenirs at a gift shop.  Win-win!  {Although it was a lose-lose, when we ran out of time that morning and Sophie and I didn't get to do Cave of the Winds on the American side when we crossed back over.  Let's just say that part of the reason Sophie was such an angry elf when we skipped out on the Cave was because it wasn't fair that the other kids had chosen to do the ferris wheel and had actually gotten to do it while she had chosen the Cave and missed out instead.}

{That's us inside the store.  They spotted us from the top!}

Really, the only downfall of our Canadian experience was that we didn't have more time to spend exploring this beautiful country.  Oh well!  Just another reason to go back and visit, eh?  Hahahaha.

Thank you and GOODNIGHT!
